Doing Business with ComputerLand

  • Payment to ComputerLand 
    ComputerLand accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. 
    For your protection, credit card orders will be shipped only to your billing address and may require additional verification. We do not accept C.O.D. orders. You may call one of our representatives at (270) 444-9616 for accurate shipping costs to your destinations. Make checks or money orders payable to ComputerLand, as applicable. Include Kentucky sales tax and shipping costs. Sales tax is charged only on shipments to Kentucky. All Credit card orders are subject to credit verification and approval. 

    All customers will be required to fax a copy of the Cashier's Check or money order to 1-270-443-9153 before any shipment. 
    ComputerLand accepts money orders, cashier's checks, personal checks, and company checks in U.S. Dollars only. Orders are processed upon receipt of a money order or cashier's check. For personal and company checks, please allow up to 10 banking days after receipt for clearance of funds before the order is processed. 

    ComputerLand cannot guarantee the availability of a product by the time funds clear or payment is received. We will charge a $25 fee on all returned checks Product will be shipped when the check clears. 

    Note: Please write the checks payable to ComputerLand. We also suggest sending the payment to ComputerLand by Federal Express, UPS, etc. to track shipment more efficiently. No Saturday Delivery. 

    Purchase orders are accepted for corporate, educational and government orders. Contact our corporate/education sales representative at (270) 415-0034.

  • Sales Tax
    A 6% Sales tax is charged only to clients in Kentucky. If you are in Kentucky and have tax exempt status please contact your Account Representative or contact our Customer Service Department, customerservice@computerland1.com, to set up your tax exempt status accordingly. (You are required, by law, to provide us with a copy of your tax exemption certificate issued by the State of Kentucky.)

  • Shipping                 

FREE shipping with orders over $1500.00. 

We ship via Federal Express or UPS. There will be an Extra charge for Alaska and Hawaii. Return shipments of RA items are only done by UPS Ground, if the customer pays the difference in shipment cost customer requests next-day delivery. 
ComputerLand will ship your product to you by the best method available for your specific needs. You have the option of next day, second day, or ground shipping. Total shipping charges are calculated based on the total weight of the all the items in your order. There is a minimum fee of $5.00 per shipment. For any shipment that is refused, you will automatically be charged $25.00. Same Day Shipping: If you place your order by 4:00 p.m. EST Mon - Fri, and the product is in stock, your order will be shipped that day. 

Note: We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Shipments are subject to stock availability.

  • Processing Fee                                                                     All orders under $500.00 will be subject to a $5.00 Processing & Handling fee.

  • Backorders
    At ComputerLand, we automatically update our on-line store so that we may offer our clients the most up-to-date products available. Due to the popularity of some items, we may occasionally not have an item in stock. If your order is not in stock it will be placed on backorder and shipped when the item is available via UPS ground. You may cancel a backorder at any time prior to shipping by contacting your Account Representative or contact our Customer Service Department, Customerservice@computerland1.com.

  • Phone orders

    Phone orders placed and credit approved by 4:30 PM (CST) Monday - Friday for items in stock not requiring configuration for delivery to the contiguous U.S. will ship that same day via FedEx Priority as per your request. FedEx Priority provides delivery by 10:30AM (EST) the next day in areas where available.

  • ComputerLand Online Orders 

    Online orders placed and credit approved by 10:00 PM (CST) Monday - Friday for items in stock not requiring configuration for delivery to the contiguous U.S. will ship that same day via FedEx Priority. FedEx Priority provides delivery by 10:30AM (EST) the next day in areas where available. 
    UPS ground shipping is also available. If you desire to have your order shipped via UPS, then please state that you want your order shipped by UPS. 

  • Restricted Products

    Apple Computer Products are not available at ComputerLand.
    Some manufacturers will not allow their vendors to sell their products internationally. 
    While 99% of our products can be ordered on the web, unfortunately, not all vendor lines are available on-line. If there is something that you are seeking and have not been able to find it in our on-line store, please contact us for more information. Salesdepartment@computerland1.com

  • Order Acceptance Policy 

    The receipt of an electronic order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order or as a confirmation of an offer to sell. ComputerLand reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item. In order to protect the interests of our customers all orders placed for over $2000.00 (U.S.) must obtain pre-approval with an acceptable method of payment, as established by our Credit & Fraud Department. Additional verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. ComputerLand reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit order quantities of any product to any customer and the right to do business with any individual or business.

  • Price & Availability 

    ALL PRICES ARE CASH DISCOUNTED. Because of the fast-changing nature of our business, prices and availability are subject to change without notice. If a product is not in stock when you place your order, we will do our best to let you know. We will also do our best to let you know as to when we estimate the product arrival. Anticipated delivery dates are dependent upon vendor supplies and other factors and are subject to change.

  • Photographic, Typographic and Technical Errors 

    We do our best to be accurate but occasionally mistakes do occur. We are not responsible for any typographical, photographic or technical errors. NOTE: Products and packaging depicted may differ from stock available at time of shipment; we reserve the right to substitute equivalent items. 

  • Return Policy 

    All purchases are final, unless product is defective. Defective products are exchanged or repaired at ComputerLand at its discretion within 30 days from receipt (no refunds or credit). Defective IBM hardware are not returnable. All repairs and exchanges of IBM hardware must go through IBM. Defective software products may be exchanged for the same title only. 

    All non-defective product returns for credit or exchange are subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee, and must be completed within 30 days of the date of invoice. NO RETURNS ACCEPTED WITHOUT A RETURN AUTHORIZATION (RA) NUMBER. RA numbers are valid for ten (10) days after issue. All RA numbers must appear on the shipping label. Write the RA number on a separate paper and tape it on the box you are returning. DO NOT MARK THE ACTUAL BOX. To request a return authorization number, contact our Sales Department at (270) 415-0034 or salesdepartment@computerland1.com. ComputerLand will not accept any opened Software returns. 

    The RA number is good for only one (1) item and must match the product authorized for return. All products (unless noted on our site) are sold with the full manufacturer's warranty. The warranty period and service varies by manufacturer and product. Extended warranties are through ComputerLand. Please contact ComputerLand if you are interested in purchasing an extended warranty. 

    In order to receive full credit, your purchase must be returned with shipping pre-paid. All items must be in "as-new" condition, in original packaging and with all warranty cards, manuals and accessories. Any discrepancies could result in a delay or partial forfeiture of your credit. 

    Laser printers, inkjet printers, fax machines, opened software and special order items may only be returned for a replacement and not for a refund. 

  • Warranty Disclaimer 

    ComputerLand expressly disclaims all warranties either express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or of fitness for a particular purpose. ComputerLand shall have no liability to anyone for incidental or consequential damages or any other liability, loss or damage arising out of or related to the merchandise. All merchandise is sold "AS IS." ComputerLand makes no warranty as to the performance of any merchandise sold. We are not responsible for system downtime, lost data, etc. This disclaimer by ComputerLand in no way affects the terms of a manufacturer's warranty, if any. 

    All trademarks or service marks are property of their respective owners. 

  • Manufacturer Warranty

    Anytime after the first 30 days of invoice, all returns and replacements must be handled directly with the manufacturer. Manufacturer's warranties vary on each product. Extended warranties are available directly from select manufacturers. Manufacturer information is subject to change without notice.

  • More Info 

    Policies and item availability subject to change without notice. ComputerLand is not responsible for late or delayed shipments or system failures. Title to items being purchased is retained by ComputerLand until items are paid for by the purchaser and at that time title passes to purchaser. If you purchase items for export, you must obtain, from the Federal government, certain export documentation. Some products are not available for sale to schools. All trademarks and registered trademarks are used to benefit and without intent to infringe on the mark holder. ComputerLand logos are trademarks of ComputerLand.

  • International Policy 

    All of our products are purchased for sale in the United States. We will not repair or replace products damaged by improper electrical voltage. Also, you may not be able to register your products with the manufacturer, receive technical support, or upgrades. ComputerLand makes no warranties, expressed or implied as to the compatibility and performance of products sold outside the United States. There are no money back guarantees on any product sold outside the United States. For defective products, the customer pays all freight, transportation, and additional charges to return the product to our distribution center. We are not responsible for any customs fees, taxes, regulations, or restrictions of products entering foreign domain or being returned to the United States. 
    Placing an order for shipment outside of the United States constitutes an acceptance of the above and an agreement to abide by our policies. 

  • International Payment Method 

    All overseas customers will be required to fax a copy of the front and back of their Credit Card to 1-270-443-9153.
