Our History ...
- Then…
- ComputerLand of Paducah was founded in
September of 1985. As was the model in the late nineteen eighties,
ComputerLand had a retail storefront that served as a place for home
and small business walk-in customers to gather information and shop
for software, supplies, and computer accessories. While these
programs were made available to the general public, ComputerLand’s
focus and core business was based upon industrial and commercial
clients. All of its support and service offerings, both from a
national and local perspective, were geared to these types of
accounts. In 1992, ComputerLand recognized that our
future was tied directly to our ability to provide quality support
services to the commercial client base that had been developed over
the years. To that end, ComputerLand closed its retail operations in
June of 1996 to focus on our commercial clients and their specific
technology support requirements.
-
- Now…
- Today, ComputerLand is a national organization
of franchisees that provides quality technology products and support
services. ComputerLand of Paducah has the national affiliations to
be competitive in pricing and product availability and yet, as a
local company with a large technology staff, is responsive to the
individual needs of your firm. ComputerLand of Paducah is recognized as a viable partner for
companies with multiple locations due to the technical expertise of
its personnel and the professional manner in which its management
and staff handle complex projects and large-scale product rollouts.
These are usually designs that require the vision and careful
planning for which ComputerLand of Paducah has become known.

ComputerLand, Charles has been an inside sales representative,

the ComputerLand family for his efforts by being named to the
ComputerLand National Circle of Excellence. Out of the approximately
ten thousand national employees, there have been only fifty-eight
such honorees in the twenty-five year history of ComputerLand. Mr.
Lindsey has been recognized by American Express and the University
of Florida and was included as a case study in their publication
"American Retail Excellence: A Key to Best Practices." Mr. Lindsey
has numerous and extensive technical certifications.
Gaylon Spraggs - Service Manager -
Mr. Spraggs came to ComputerLand in December, 1993 after years
of service experience in the office products industry with McKeown's,
Inc. ComputerLand was in need of a new structure for it's quickly
growing service department. Mr. Spraggs was immediately able to
provide the policy and procedures necessary to quickly and
efficiently respond to our client's requests for hardware service.
